Perfect reason to build a car you might have had in your brain for year but maybe not one you'd think of keeping forever. Black, white panel stripes, Full House 283 with 4 carbs chrome exhaust manifolds, american 5 spokes with 8" wide slicks out back and 5.60 Supercushions up front, black diamond pleated interior, C1 vette steering wheel,
(K)nowhere. I love that word. Glad you found a scratch for your itch. I wasn't gonna give up my A, cause I know just how you feel.
OOOrrrr.... a hotrod "B" or "C" motor but really, I'd want to use a 181 cube mercruiser 4 banger with a 3 speed overdrive...40 brakes and a 32-34 rear axle with 4.11s and juice brakes alla round. Go with 40 ford wheels and 7.50/5.25 gum dipper Firestones and a dropped axle...make it look like Baders coupe^
This is not helping us. One picture with nothing to be seen other than old 5 spokes and that it's a 29. C'mon you can do better than that, no? Your new position as therapist isn't starting out very well.
KOOL little A. I like 28 29s better without a chop when full fendered. just a nice stance. Love the way the fenders melt over the wheels. Now you got me dreaming. I'll just keep watching. lol
I feel your pain.I've been obsessing over a '63 T-Bird that I found a picture of a few years ago.I'm drawn to it like Dana Andrews in the movie "Laura".I obsess over it,dream about it,and when I'm out of sorts,it puts a smile back on my face.I will have that car or lose my marbles thinking about it.Call me Queeg
Ha ha, love it. My cousin, who is a general practitioner, always tells me a mans brain stops maturing at 13. Going off my own desire for more toys and what I see around this place I think she's right, and that's not a bad thing.
I'll be watching this for sure! My dad and I are planning on starting a full fendered 30-31 build later this year
I'm with Highlander... Post it up. boys... There sure is some great 5 glass coupes posted up from others on this thread.... Excellent inspiration So give us a better idea of you plans... 331 Cad and a Hydro? Early Olds? Keep it a driver and lets get a few inches out of that top and a Deuce grille up front and Pontiac round tail lamps out back...
Oh - and a gloss white firewall behind multi carb U-Fab setup on ??? Really dark Blue solid with a really dark blue diamond pleat interior with white piping, really dark blue carpet with white edge. Sprinkle red and white on it with little details (red lined carb scoops) and period correct pinstriping and BAM!!
Great story and project guys. I know from all the posts on the HAMB Keith has a great work ethic. Maybe I missed any updates but what is happening with the 63 1/2 Galaxie? Thanks for the fun reads. TEB
I love full fendered A's. When I did mine 10 or so years ago I was laughed at for leaving it's stupid fenders and way to tall top. I will have another one some day. Only this time it will be nose high.
This FE powered one has haunted my dreams for a long time. I'll do it, when the right car comes along
