I have a heat choke from my exhaut manifold, then thru a tube and into the carb mounted coil spring assembly. I have the spring set to open when the engine warms up. The problem I have is that when the motor gets cold again the throttle plate stays open. The fast idle cam just floats in the air also, Any advice would be appreciated. In these below zero days its a bummer to keep poppin the hood to make adjustments....Stan
When the choke coil expands it opens the choke plate. When it contracts it pulls it closed. It has to be attached to the lever inside the choke housing, not just pushing against it. D
That makes sense Dennis, so would you set it up to push the throttle plate open ( have the coil spring on the left of the lever, or pull the throttle plate open by putting the spring on the right side of the lever
