The bumpy depends on the salt and when the pass was made. There are pressure ridges all across the salt, it is not mirror smooth as some romantics claim. Plus tight suspensions and weight are your friends especially with roadsters and their aero. And if you don't think it is not a drug,,,
Neat video, I wish they would have run an auxiliary microphone into the engine bay so we could better hear that Flathead sing at 6200 rpm. I'm pretty sure that gopro has a jack for auxiliary microphone. That would surely rid of the video of ambient nose and help put things into perspective. ..Irregardless, It does sound nice when you can actually hear the horsepower being emitted near the end of the run (at just under 130 mph). ...Flatheads that like to spin at 6000+ rpm are something that needs to be experienced in person. Thanks for posting.
Hey Jive Bomber, you can see a full article on the Cannarozzi roadster and the rest of their collection of old hot rods in the #17 issue of RODDINGUSA magazine. Randy and Chris are long time friends and it was fun to do a full feature on their cool old hot rods. Dale Moreau Da Flash
You can't get any more cool than what is in this video. Bonneville is indeed a one-of-a-kind place and when you add a car like this one it is even better.
Chris, Randy & Keith are just plain GREAT PEOPLE!!!!!!! Jay, That was just plain an experience of excitement and sounds of speed!!!!!! What a rush!!!!!!!!! I'm glad I tuned in!!!!!! Thanks for posting this vid.
All the years I've run there I always found the course to be smooth. Its dragged and turn offs are dragged. Miss a turn off and you'll be running through the pressure ridges. Otherwise its usually very smooth. My avatar is rigid front and rear and I've never found too many bumps.
