this is a picture of my father, Al Jewell, back in 1959, He just brought his brand new 1960 Chevy P/U home. He used this as a push truck at Fremont Raceway in the early 60s. I remember it having a 327, 3x2 intake, and a car 4 speed. (must have been a newer transplant before I was born). He wrecked it on the old San Mateo bridge in 1966.

…. Upon returning home from vacation, Fred immediately took the film rolls down to have them developed. Needless to say, a few days later, Alice his wife upon picking the prints up just had to call Fred at work in an almost gasp for voice manner " Fred your not going to believe this but in one of the photos at Carl's station when we stopped to fill up, there's a creepy man standing back beside our car, it's sooo eerie, so creepy I just had to drive right over to Carl's on the way home and asked him if he knew this man. He said he has never even seen him before and he swears no one was near the car not alone standing there with a Zorro suit on ! " ( Ghost or Phantom Spirit - You Decide ? ) Phanthom Filler.jpg

One you don't see that often; either a dealer price leader or somebody wanted the cheapest 2-door hardtop they could get - 210, single-tone paint, blackwalls and dog dish hubcaps. Maybe a sleeper?

    Thanks for the update, XRacer!

I think I got the early version of the Ford 4 Cam Indy engine, which did run the stacked headers in early testing, mixed up with the Climax.

Or, somebody liked the look of it. I personally like it better than a Bel-Air with all the trim stuff slapped on it. Yes, and it possibly had the good drive train option ( power pack 283 w/3-speed.)

Exactly, it is a 210, factory hardtop.
I like em, a lot, kinda tired of all the fuzzy dice, poodle skirt BelAirs' that you commonly see at a lot of events. And my second car in high school was a 57 BelAir 2 dr ht.

  22. That 1957 210 Sport coupe is one of 22,631 made. Compared to 166,426 Bel Air Sport coupe Hardtops made, that's rare.

Yeah...he loved that car! He was born, raised in Phoenix, Oregon!....lived up in the mountains above Jacksonville near Logtown/Sterlingville/Buncom area, and my dad tried to get him to sell him the car in the late 50's, but no deal...wonder what ever happened to it!
