Does anyone out there in Drag land enthusiasm have any photos of this car displaying the frame, rear end, cockpit area with the body off? Any photos would help me to put together a model of the car. I've contacted Jack Ditmars and he did not have any photos that showed the frame with the body off. There has to be someone out there with pit shot where the team may have had the body off. I can only hope.

Sparks and Bonney racing team. I forgot who the deuce belonged to, but the '34 belonged to Everett Israelson, ran a fuel flathead. The car caught fire in the lights at the first night meet at Saugus, and though Everett got out ok, the car was destroyed.

Jim & Allison Lee. This was a first-class operation, with Allison doing as much of the pit work as Jim. They had many drivers, including my late high school classmate Hank Westmoreland. Tom Raley also drove.

Alters at Island Dragway. Check out the spectators stands. You don't see that now at a routine weekend meet.

Drags were exciting back then ever driver and car was extreme and innovative. Every run was a show in itself. Today its straight, quick and over.Colorful cars awesome workmanship. And what about PAM!! Going into the pits on a nostalgic race day is breath taking!! Im glad it was part of my life. 25. An awful lot of photos are getting a number of re posts. Usually I don't mention it, because I don't care. But, I wish this one would quietly slip into the archives. Noel Black was only running it with out the body at the drags to attempt to generate sponsorship money for his Bonneville LSR effort. With the full skin, it ran over 330 on it's first effort at Bonneville. Noel was a nice guy who ran a little speed shop that didn't cover all the racing bills. This photo hurts some us old farts who knew him from Speedweek.

  27. I should mention that Noel Black was killed in this car. Got her airborne at something near 400. Not all who try are not as lucky as Mr. Poteet.

Jim (in the hat) and Alison leaning on the parachute. Their son in law Bobby Hilton drove for them later (in the back motor era) and last year their grandson Tyler got his Nostalgia Top Fuel license in the latest Great Expectations car.

Have never seen a picture of the car without the body and not aware of a magazine feature of the car that might have the detail your looking for. This photo about the best as to a look at the inside.
