Did this Merc evolve into the bright orange Merc that's from Ohio. I believe its forsale now in the classifieds. It now has bubbleskirts and a stock grille. . It sure looks similar.

I bought a nice original '53 Vic from an elderly lady in Santa Cruz for $250. Rust free original, with a same color repaint, (Azure blue?) original flat V8, 3 spd overdrive, 34K miles.
Dropped it like Lee's original stance, Foxcraft skirts, '55 eSoto grille, '55 Olds taillights, shaved nose & deck, doorhandles, nice mild custom driver.
Drove it from '74 to '82, most guys liked it, but the ones that didn't, just fell all over Zocche's "Cool 50" and his '53 Vic-turned-convertible.
San Jose was funny about "Just the right time"...The lowriders loved it, though.
