Thanks, I'm going to chop the shock mount two inches it sits at 16 inches right now...don't want it to look like an off road vehicle lol

Could you cut and re-weld the new lower shock mount to run straight out ahead of the bone and perch bolt?

    Long over due update..

I mentioned losing my garage over a year ago and had limited tools to get the build done where it was being stored. I was still optimistic that I could have her rolling this summer ( so naive) lol

Thankfully the hot rod gods took pity on me and sent Ford2935 aka Rick Maxted into my build.

Rick is an experienced hot rod guy over 30 yrs in the hobby, extremely knowledgeable ...to the point of pain in the ass know it all lol.

He called me up and said look if you want it done bring it over, he had just finished his roadster and took pity on my lack of know how and inexperience.

Since the day it entered Ricks a garage the progress has been amazing. As we speak she's about 2 weeks away from rumbling down the street!

Check out the pics, and again one of the best parts of this hobby is the helping hands that build them. Thanks Rick & Paul!

Here's what we ended up doing

Blew the whole rpu apart, sand blasted frame and body.
Reverse eyes on the front and back original springs and removed a few to lower it further
Original front axle lowered 2 1/2 inches
    Rebuilt the original banjo
    40s juice brakes all around
16 wire wheels, tires 5.5 front 7.5 back
31 tranny (used Clings MC set up for juice brakes on Model A tranny)
Original engine, complete rebuild, bore and decked, updated internals, Snyder 6.1 head, 12 volt atl, Snyder low gear starter, GMC bubba distributor, single downdraft In take with 97 stromberg
    Reds headers 4 banger dual
    Tach, oil pressure, temp gauges
Model T oval gas tank in the bed (cowl had to much rust in it) running a low pressure fuel pump and regulator
    BLC headlights on headlight bar
    F1 shock mounts
    Chopped windshield stanchions 2 inches

I'm sure I'm forgetting some things but that's about it

Once again, NICE looking rpu! Good job.
So, are you running a lightened flywheel or stock? And what clutch set up are you using?
    Thanks, Johnny

I stock fly wheel, and 31 tranny. It is an expensive process, the goal was to get her as far along as possible. The other stuff like a t-5, lighten fly wheel etc. can be done later this spring and summer just plan to drive the wheels off
