It's on my list as well. In fact, I'm building a truck just to drive there so I can witness the races.

 

I Had a friend who made the 200MPH club a couple of years ago and he keeps trying to get me there. I will definitely keep an eye on this and hope they can get back on the salt

I thought I "heard" there was a chance that the would be NO racing at Bonneville this year (2016), due to the rebuilding of the racing surface this year. Is this in fact true? Anyone have an update?

 

Im hoping to go this year. Saving vacation for it. Wuz Junk and Hooley said it was a terrible sickness.

 

The SCTA site shows Aug 16-19 for Speedweek as the next B'ville event.
Hoping, just not holding my breath.
We should know something more about July..........

 

search discussions on landracing.com - sounds like there is a possibility that there will not be racing. in part because BLM has said salt surface conditions need time to recover from previous years deterioration. but, nothing definite right now. likely because no one knows what blessings or havoc this Winter will bring.

 

If they want to get the next generation interested or involved. Someone should make a Bonneville racing video game! I am usually a sarcastic a-hole I'll admit but I am serious about this. Maybe someone on here knows someone in the game development field. It's worth shot. Even Give part of the proceeds to "save the salt ".


Of course it's possible they already have one, I haven't really played much since Galaga & Donkey kong.
