Hot Rods 34 Ford windshield replacement

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by vet57air, Nov 21, 2015.

  1. Just replaced the windshield on my 34 3 window. On the bottom of the windshield frame it has a corner piece on each side. I can slide them in and out, and they look like they are in place, but don't see how they are retained? Bit of glass gunk would work, but what is the proper way to keep them in place?

The little tab on back keeps it in and the hole piece is like an I beam pinched between sides and bottom, Hope that helps.

  3. Yes it helps. It was what I originally thought. For some reason with all the screws tight I can still slide them out and back in. Will take another look at it. Thx

  4. I found my frame fit nicely but would not hard clamp the corner pieces. The seal that goes around the frame helps retain them and I also added a little windshield goo to them so they stay in place.
