Projects Finally I get my Flathead powered T Roadster

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by mctim64, Dec 4, 2014.

  1. Sorry, no real updates. It's racing season now and I blew the engine in my truck at Elmo last meet. Working hard to get a better one together before Speed Week. Derrek has been taking my chassis around to all the shows as a demonstrator so at least it's getting some use. I'll be back on it soon but probably not till late Aug.

  2. Paid a visit to @deek at Boling Brothers Early Iron yesterday. Chassis on the T roadster is complete, now it's time for the body. Just waiting on a deck lid, ordered and paid for just hasn't arrived. Mike Moore's Quickchange looks great in there

  9. Hey Tim . . . I think you've clearly defined how us flathead guys look at our engines.

Flatheads: They are rolling, running 'Trophy Cases' for all the cool, rare and fun parts we can put into them! Hope all is well with you my friend.

That looks like a first-gen Thickstun. Before the common PM-7. Fairly rare.

  16. Yes, Pre-war I was told. Maybe @Bored&Stroked can confirm this. I was very happy to find it, been looking for a while. It is in near perfect condition.

  17. More goodies I found. These two will sit side by side in the center of my panel with three engine gauges on each side. Nice and full. :)

  22. Rolled the roadster out in the daylight for the first time in a long time. Starting to look like a real car. :)

Boy howdy that is getting to be one nice roadster. Somehow I missed this thread and sat here this morning and read all nine pages.

  26. Tried on the Thickstun this last weekend, looks like a good fit. A little high but not too much. Should look good with a couple of round Edmunds air cleaners. thickstun.1.jpg thickstun2.jpg thickstun3.jpg
