Thanks to all Veterans, past and present. You are not forgotten. In our family, and many more like us, we thank the lord for your service and to keep the many serving today safe and to bless them and their families. We know what it is like to have 2 of our sons serving right now. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Whether you were drafted or volunteered or served in peace or war, regular or reserve your service to this country is much appreciated.

I have spent all my adult life caring for men and women in the VA medical system. I have an unspeakable hatred for war. I believe all these individuals are bound for a penthouse in heaven; they have already served their time in the basement of hell.

I have been blessed to share the joy and laughter when things turned out better than we feared. I have been similarly blessed to be there to share the sorrow and tears when things turned out worse than we hoped.

Perhaps among the thousands of HAMB members there is someone who rode through my life and left their dust on my lab coat. To you, I say thanks; I may have stitched your wound, but you are the thread that holds our country together.

Thanks to everyone who has served this great country of ours. It is the bravery and loyalty of these great Americans that allows us to enjoy the freedoms many of us take for granted on a daily basis. Thank you to everyone that has ever served in our military. I am forever grateful.

    In Flanders Fields
    [IMG]
    by John McCrae, May 1915

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
    In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
    In Flanders fields.

    Lest we forget

My thoughts are with those who fought in the great wars and to those who continue to protect the freedom we enjoy today and every day. Many never returning. The ultimate sacrifice...Thank you to all involved always.
    Kindest Regards,

A sincere Thank You to all who have served, their families & those who gave their all so we may live in the greatest free nation on earth. Dad was drafted into Army in late 1968 served in Vietnam 101st in 69 &70 & thankfully returned home. Proud to have served. He's battled the side effects of agent orange & as of late October lived 5 years past the doc's estimate. I've had soo many good times with him & old cars in my 43 years, hope to have his high school car "53 150" done asap so he can spend some time back behind the wheel. Thanks to all past & present Vetrans. Flux

I hear ya, Beaner. I don't get it when people wish you a "happy" Memorial Day, or worry more about "free" Veteran's Day coffee and donuts than attending a memorial service. WTF?
It's a time of reflection and recognition of those who serve and especially those who make the ultimate sacrifice so that the world is a better place for the rest of us. Not much "happy" about that.
A BIG THANKS to all branches of the Military from a proud member of the Army Corps of Combat Engineers, 1968/ 1971.

Every veteran gave this country a blank check, their life, and said spend it how you see fit. I have nothing but the greatest admiration and respect for those men and women.
Thank you to each and every one, past, present and future.
