Hard to see whats going on with the rear suspension, but I can say where you wanna go .. Some of that needs to be ditched , that crossmember direct above pumpkin needs to go for sure...

Your right ,complete 42 front ... Whats the steering?

If I were doing it for you as a customer and you wanted cheap and simple , I would get 40 wishbones for the front , split them , put on a model A drop axle , get 28-34 perches and spring , model A front cross, for the rear a 40 rear spring , a simple tubing crossmember like so-cal does and either Pete and jakes ladder bars or some 35-36 rear bones

The steering was a cobbled up mess. It had some kind of GM box. I pulled it off. Thinking of going Vega box. They cut the frame to clear the box. I will have some work to do there.

I can't see if frame is boxed but I would be tempted to put a f-1 or f-100 box in it

It's harder for a novice to figure out right away, but if you can fabricate it shouldn't be too bad you can rebuild one yourself for 50-200$ and you don't have to worry about columns, borgson joints , double d shafts, and a panhard bar

If you get a certain years f-100 steering gear it has a longer sector shaft , you can get an aluminum wedge Vern tardel has an it becomes pretty much bolt in affair... Besides cutting holes

I think you are referring to the steering box that goes thru the frame rail. That maybe an option. Not sure the Vega box will clear the motor mounts
