I bought my 3 wndow back in 1992 from a guy in Salt lake city Utah. It was originally from Texas and was brought to Utah where the owner channeled the body and replaced the drive train . It appears that his plans were to run it on Bonneville , but never materialized. I brought it to Alaska where it set in my shop untill last year. I blasted the body with fine glass media that a friend gave to me. This body was blasted inside and out. The areas that are not blasted are going to be replaced with new sheet metal. I am going to bring this body back to stock. Have a heidts polished SS and billett IFS , SS triangulated 4 link with 9" in the rear. Will be powered by a LS3 aluminum block GM with a 4L60E transmission. WIll be a full fendered car when done.

  2. Off the road since 1959. Still wears all of its original black paint under the blue and primer.
The bottom pic is from the 1959 Darryl Starbird show in Wichita Kansas. The car was unfinished then and the owner died a short time later.
She'll be on the road next summer.

It appears the notch for the seat tack strip has been filled.
    Is that correct?
How about a closeup shot of that area if possible.

This is a true survivor after all of what I saw of the pic on the trailer. Vision and Talent brought this 5W back in it's best incarnation ever!!!!!!

I have a 32 BB stake truck that was once yard art. It was bought about 19 yrs. ago and looked like "Yard Art". When we 1st bought for $200.00, It's grille looked like a toothless old man, the fenders were toast, (I still have them though), the radiator was full of coolant and the body had moss growing on it. The stake bed wood was history, but was used to make patterns for the replacement.

It was said to be a runner, I thought "yeah sure". My brother Bob & I yanked the clutch and it had what appeared to be hair in it, Put it all back together and put some fuel to it, and wall-a! She was indeed a runner. Bob did a ton & 1/2 ;) of work to this truck.
It even came with 6 brand new Denmans on it that was worth more than the trucks price.

This is a true survivor and it like everything else I have is indeed a lifelong project of its existence as a 32. My other 32 's (Roadsters) also have a story, I know one but foggy on the other, both survivors though.

  11. Don't know the history, but here's mine: as found, hauling it home, dash, and 59AB (fresh rebuild). Has a 37 trans and rear end. Also sporting a 34 x-member and rear crossmember. Filled roof, perfectly gas welded in. Black T&R upholstery, covering white T&R. At least three PO’s judging by the changes made and the level (or lack) of craftsmanship.

I first saw this coupe in 1974 when one of my autoshop students told me he had a friend with a 32 Ford. It was channeled and had a 409 4 speed. In the late 80s I bought the car from that same "grown up" student. I bought it for my oldest son who wanted it but had no money as he was in college. It sat in the back of my garage until he was able to pay for it 7 years later. He still has it and it now sits in the back of his shop in Columbus, OH.

And as it sits today, unfortunately Randy's untimely passing put the car on hold but hopefully progress on the roadster will get underway in the not too distant future. HRP

I guess this one qualifies, shown at the Hartford (CT) Autorama, in the fifties, resto-rodded in the eighties, and going back to the fifties, in the 21st century

It began its life as a Hot Rod in 1958 with a flathead. It was sold in 1961 and a 283 Vette engine replaced the flatty. It was again sold in 1962 and went into hibernation till now. Same Deuce Roadster that I drolled over at 16 year of age has now come home to me. The joy of working on it and to bringing it back to life is without words. The 'Baby' 241 Hemi was voted in by my buddies....and it's on its way.
