Remember the scene in American Graffiti where Millner is tuning up his engine for the big drag race with Falfa? You can see the clear fuel lines running to all carburetors. Show us the fuel lines on your multi carb manifolds clear, colored plastic, Copper, etc.

I had the red clear fuel line on for 48hrs before it went soft and the petrol went red

Ended up with a more industrial set up

  6. Clear Tygon, good stuff! Tygon® Fuel and Lubricant Tubing resists the swelling and hardening caused by hydrocarbon-based fluids. This significantly reduces the risk of failure due to cracking and leakage.

The ethanol may do a number on your carbs but at least you won't have too worry about it ruining your lines.:D

The clear red lines look the part, but as KFC mentioned in his post, the tubes softening and the petrol turning red (gasoline slowly dissolving the tubes), I would think twice about using them having experienced an electrical fire in my own car many moons ago, and assisting with the rebuild of a friend's glass bodied (OT) hillclimb race car that was virtually burnt out due to a ruptured fuel line, L will only use flexible petrol pipe that is designed for today's petrol (and Ethanol, plus other additives). Hard lines properly fitted and Aeroquipe style (Earl's in the US?) stainless braided pipes are also safe.

Take care guys it's not worth the risk of cremating your ride, possible injuries to occupants just for the sake of looking good!
