Well guys I'm still hacking on my modified project, that I started in '06. Getting old
sucks, too many medical problems and bills. Any way I haven't given up on my dream
of having a running roadster some day. I just keep taking small bites untill it's done.

Thanks, getting all that to work was due to the advice of Dick Spadaro, he took the time to send pictures to me on how to get that combination to work. RIP Dick and thanks.

I haven't had a bunch of time to be on here lately, but I thought I might up date a bit on my buddy Ronnie Olmstead's '30 modified I wrote about over the last year or so. It's done! DSC04362.JPG DSC04363.JPG DSC04366.JPG DSC04370.JPG

  14. I've got a few messages this last month asking for some pics of my finished '27. It has been a blast to drive the last couple of years. Here are some photos from a shoot about a year ago. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 5.jpg 6.jpg 7.jpg 8.jpg 9.jpg 10.jpg 11.jpg 12.jpg 13.jpg 14.jpg 15.jpg

You cars have also inspired me along the way. In the beginning I had no idea what the difference between a Model A and Model T was! I found the "modified" style and really liked it, but didn't know they were called "modifieds". It has indeed been a "long way" to this point. Just over three years, and I have learned an ENORMOUS amount. Some days I still can't believe I built and that's it's mine. You were there in the beginning! I'm sure a lot of folks had their doubts. :)

My frame, waiting for the painter to pick it up, tonight I hope! Kinda looks like a pallet cart from Home Depot with the wheels missing, don't it?

Guess you can call this a modified.....does it become a roadster when the turtledeck gets bolted on?

First time post. Looking at building my first Hot Rod, I was looking for something different. Here in New Zealand there is a large Hot Rodding scene with a great diversity of cars but not many modifieds or track roadsters. After searching the internet I found this thread and became convinced that this is the only way to go. The disadvantage of living here is that there are not many available parts for this type of project unless you go to a glass body. So when the opportunity came up I managed to acquire the car you see in the pictures. 32 Kiwi Konnection chassis with a 30-31 Brookville extended roadster pickup body. It was originally set up for a small block Ford and auto with a pick up tray on the back. This is my current early stage mock up. now with a 331 Hemi extended block, T5 manual trans & 9" diff. 8-1-2015-Hot Rod (17).JPG

I took these pics a year ago, at the rained out Speedweek. Lots of detail, however his rear spring settled and chipped some paint on the rear housings. IMG_4632.JPG IMG_4633.JPG IMG_4634_1.JPG
