Thank you! I thought the paint in Tom's picture looked a little too weathered to be Tony's coupe.

Sorry, man. I try to stay close to the spirit of the HAMB, never shoot anything that shows a big block, too modern.

It's not work for me! It's fun. It's my job in retirement.

    Tom,
Great pics as usual ! I have a question about the chopped Merc coupe in post #155. I had a very similar Merc coupe in the late sixties that had been built in ND where I lived at that time. I gave the car to a fellow from California who was then stationed at the Grand Forks Air Base near Grand Forks. The car was missing the front sheet metal but the chop looks really close to the car I had. Could you perhaps help me get in touch with the current owner? I would love to find out if it is the same car. I always hoped someone would bring it back to life.
    Thanks so much !
    Dave

Sorry, no info on the Merc, Dave.

George, thanks for pointing that out; I will try to be more careful in the future!

You are right, Sonny Boy. Maybe some of that aggression you exhibit today will wane in your golden years. Again, you ARE right. This old fart was not about to drive from San Antonio, TX. to LARS without a top, AND CURTAINS ! How the hell am I supposed to keep the Vintage Air coolness on the inside ? That's right. A BopTop, curtains, and A/C. You will understand someday. Great show.

The pic of the 46 business coupe is timeless. ( the black and white one) Well done!! All others are great too.

Your presumption that I'm somehow 'young' is way off base. I'm just about to turn 66. Out in the sun? Isn't that why they make hats? If the wind catches it...turn it around!

But I'm glad you enjoyed the show.

I just think it's one of the "top" roadsters shows in the country!

I'll add to that, my avatar is "Topless Forever", works great for local cruising, BUT, when driving cross country, you never know how many rain storms you will encounter in 1 day, let alone blistering wind & heat in different areas of the USA.
I don't have a/c or side windows, just enjoy the nature made conditions as encountered, a small igloo with cool washcloth's works neat & a small squirt bottle brings the heat down quickly.

Thanks, Don! We love your spirit!

Just a play on words, tongue-in-cheek comment, Dennis. Of course it's the best roadster show!

Deuce Daddy Don...Now that's the spirit I'm talking about. If I had a roadster it'd never have a top, otherwise what's the point? I might as well get a coupe (or some other enclosed vehicle). But good for you. I'll allow you that at your age you deserve a few 'perks'.
Case in point...this is probably my favorite picture of Roy Brizio. Hunkered down behind the windshield, rooster tail flying. I also believe they ran into some hail as well. And this was with one of his 'project' cars in conjunction with Ford SVO.

Now back to Don's excellent photography.
