I am in need of a Haneline oil pressure sending unit. Does anyone know if someone bought them out and may have some of there old stock? It is a 80 psi gauge. The best I can tell it is a 200- 50 ohm sending unit. Thanks
Since the 40 Ford coupe I bought back in March has Haneline gauges, I'm subscribing to this thread. Do they no longer exist? I've not even thought about this!
FWIW, my 46 Ford Convertible with Dakota Digital gauges needed an oil pressure sender. Ordered from Dakota as I thought it would be some special type of sender. Dakota sent me an AC Delco sender that I could have gotten from NAPA for about 1/3 of what Dakota charged me. An AC Delco sender may also work with a Hanline gauge. I seriously doubt Hanline manufactured their own senders. Gary.
Are you sure you need a new one? Are you getting a good ground with no teflon tape to interfere? If you do need a new sending unit you might call these guys for info; http://snsclassics.com/haneline_gauges.html
flat 39 - Did you find any electrical specs on the sending unit? Did you have to get it from them? I'm in the same boat. I chased an oil leak for awhile, before I figured out it was leaking from where the sending unit was press fit together!
When rebuild our 50 Ute, I lost the sending unit. I just went to our Speed Shop (yes they do still exist) and got one for a VDO $35.00. Yes they all use the same sender,, well the one I got worked.
I used various resistors in place of the pressure sender unit and then read what the gauge said. 200 ohm = 0 psi 150 ohm = 20 psi 100 ohm = 40 psi 50 ohm = 80 psi
I contacted S&S Classics and they gave me the phone number for a guy in Georgia who has sending units for Haneline 3-1 gauge. All is now good.
