I'm looking for pics of ultra low fender less 1933-34 ford 5 window coupes. I'm working on a project and looking for ideas. Show me pictures of what you have.
look at www.project33.com for a 4" dropped axle and frame notched for spring clearance. About as low as practical without channeling. Here's a salt '34 roadster, lower than practical but looking good
The only ultra low fenderless traditional cars I can think of would be race cars, as in salt/lakes race cars. Even so, most of them aren't exactly ultra low either. BTW, how low is ultra low, in your terms? Just so we know.
Gypsy: If your planning on building one, bear in mind the compact engine compartment of a "really low" car. My cabrio is sectioned and it presents a couple of challenges under the hood. Plus the nose of that expensive grill gets really close to the ground!!!
If track noses are included here's an Alloway Rats Glass Speedstar. A search of any of these will turn up a lot of profile pics
Most 33/34 cars running low or deep Channel run a different grill, This one's radiator/grill shell needs to be 5" under the pavement to be in correct relation to the body. And yep, it's chin is busted here That's about as low as one can get one of these, now from here it just goes up and up and up, a frame, wheels and tires, suspension travel. You know,,, those silly little details.
