Yeah Man... The only problem with having a barn is you fill it! I ran out of room so My future model a roadster built ended up in the rafters in the hay loft. Lol

Hahaha... So right you are! But I started that long before my back yard race. We have fun in the winters doing doughnuts in the snow.

 

We have no choice on the East coast...

 

Wow......everything I love all wrapped into one event.....nice acreage.....old farm buildings.....beautiful spring day.....old tractor with disc......level pasture.......lots of old rods.....and most of all, a homemade DIRT track.
As a kid growing up in E.Iowa in the late 50's, I would walk to an old Plymouth/Dodge/Chrysler dealership where local guys were building dirt track 1940 Ford coupes with flatheads. Another group was building a similiar car at a local used car dealership.
The culmination of all the winter's work was a "test and tune" trip to a local farmers river bottom pasture. Both cars would run out the paved county road wide open approx. 2mi to the farm (don't you love old time local law enforcement). I could ride my bike to the bluff overlooking the river and the field........and watch both flatheads bark and carve up the hay stubble into an impromptu oval.......wonderful memories.

 

You guys are nuts, I love it. That must make the trailer queens cringe. Rubbin is racin.
