Yeah Man... The only problem with having a barn is you fill it! I ran out of room so My future model a roadster built ended up in the rafters in the hay loft. Lol image.jpg

way too cool, but passing would be a real bitch on that narrow track. it's always more fun when you're leaning on somebody's door in the corner

Hahaha... So right you are! But I started that long before my back yard race. We have fun in the winters doing doughnuts in the snow. image.jpg

Wow......everything I love all wrapped into one event.....nice acreage.....old farm buildings.....beautiful spring day.....old tractor with disc......level pasture.......lots of old rods.....and most of all, a homemade DIRT track.
As a kid growing up in E.Iowa in the late 50's, I would walk to an old Plymouth/Dodge/Chrysler dealership where local guys were building dirt track 1940 Ford coupes with flatheads. Another group was building a similiar car at a local used car dealership.
The culmination of all the winter's work was a "test and tune" trip to a local farmers river bottom pasture. Both cars would run out the paved county road wide open approx. 2mi to the farm (don't you love old time local law enforcement). I could ride my bike to the bluff overlooking the river and the field........and watch both flatheads bark and carve up the hay stubble into an impromptu oval.......wonderful memories.
