Nice of you to post this whilst Ben is in the air flying back Australia - he can't complain. That's one of the best Chevy body lines they made and certainly one I'd own. Haven't met Laura yet but she seems to be one hell of a catch for Rancho Ben! Great photos as usual BTW boss...
I hope Ben realizes how lucky he is.I've always wanted to meet my next significant other at a car show or a shooting range, but it never happens. The ones I do meet always start out liking my hobbies, but once they think the hook is set,the real person comes out.Nice '59,BTW.
LOL - the title made my day - I have a buddy that has a beautiful frame off iris mist 65 GTO......I call it the same thing just to piss him off....
I've seen this Elky around Texas for years and it's one of my favorites. It's definitely GM's best styling effort EVER in my opinion and the stance and wheel/tire combination on her truck set it off just right. It's not a perfect truck, but in a way that makes it better. Glad to see someone else appreciates it too.
She's been drivin' the wheels off of it for years, and lookin' great the whole time! Great news that she's found a soul mate, but one of them had better start practicing driving on the wrong side of the road!
Badass! Good to hear she drives the hell out of it- like I always tell people, "I wasn't born to drive a van."
hah! no way. sneaky! Thanks Ryan, and all y'all, for the kind words. I have almost driven the wheels off of it (I know it shows!), and feel really lucky that a lot of those miles have resulted in meeting so many neat people and a lot of...stories. For the record, the paint can says "Pink Pearl." I won't argue with the experts, though. ;-)
Chicks driving a truck, pick up or van is even hotter. And any girl driving a '59 Elco, is sizzling hot!!!! And that's a fact. But WTF is Titty pink? I've seen a lot of tits, and a lot of pink, but never seen pink tits!?
I have a 59 el camino ,White as a matter of fact. been driving it for 27 years, It to has a shade of Titty Pink on it, in spots. Butttttt......... it has more of a rusty Titty look to it !! Beautiful car!!
Our own Mr Nads, is quite proud of his "Mary Kay" pink example. And rightly so. Untold hours, involved in slicing that roof. Looks killer, in person. Chevy definitely hit a home run with this model.
Well, the title got me! Love that El Camino. Personally none of these are pink. I owned a 1949 Ford coupe that really was titty pink.
Laura Is one of my favorite people in Austin. The best is when she decorates it for the Blue Santa parade! I miss that parade.
