Event Coverage Rheinbeck, N.Y. Swap Meet and Show 2015

Next Saturday, May 2 is RHIENBECK 2015. I think this is close to a 50 year old meet now. Swap meet always has something, who's going? Bob

Same to Nick! I missed the very first Rhinebeck Swap Meet, but made it to all the others, met some really great people there over the years. Not looking forward to the blank spots were Dick Spadaro used to be, or the fact I'll never bump into Pete Wing again. Bob

 

I have been going to Rhinebeck since I was about ten. (The early 90's)

 

Just back from setting up at fairgrounds. Bright sunny day everyone seems enthusiastic. Lots of early deals going on, found a few myself. Big day tomorrow, seeya there.

I make it a tradition to go to Hershey every year and would like to find another goto swap. I have never been to Rhinebeck. how does this swap compare to Carlise in size? What era parts?

 

I wont be there Ill be at Lake Compounce setting up for Sunday so many cones to put out so you guys can knock them over trying to get in ahead of the guy in front of you

I'll buy if your there early 6:30AM gotta wait for my crew to show up so I don't really unload till someone gets there.

Certainly not as big as Carlisle but a decent size probably largest in the NE. Has a mix of early stuff, hot rod, muscle car, tractors (just bought one today) t-shirts, tools, flowers and some whirl-a-gigs. Come on up and find out for yourself. I'm biased I live 3 miles away. Car in my avatar is on my space. I'm right on Broadway.

A bit early for me. Heading to the Village Diner for sausage and biscuits and then head over. Be driving a 36 Ford pick up.

Boy what a day, didn't sell much stuff but met a ton of people, my place was crowded all day with people taking cars and old times. Car show probably had over 800 cars. Tomorrow should be over 1000.

I had a space there from82 up to 2000 . I had some great times when you could set up on fri nite and spend the night . I think I know you Pat.

 

Hilo it's possible that you know me, I've been there from 86 and now have 10 spots right on Broadway. And you can still set up on Friday's and camp on the spots. Many people do. Picture is of my space this year with my car.

Well another day another record crowd for the car show. Swap meet was a dud but it always is on Sunday here. Some good buys, guy I know picked up a 55-57 2dr. hdtp. door bare for $30.00 guy was asking $85. Friday. Another guy came to buy some stuff from me and later came bak to buy ALL my Danchuk parts that I had left. So now its BBQ and hang out next year.
