    I need some help.

I recently lowered my 51 Mercury using the Aerostar springs as mentioned on a thread here. They recommended using Monroe shocks but those have a different mounting type. What i'm looking for is a shock that is S4 on both ends and shorter than stock which is 8.5 compressed and 13.44 extended. I would like to be somewhere around 6.5 compressed and 11.5 extended. Anyone know where I can find something like this? Part number?

    Much appreciated,
    George

You have a lowered ride height but doesn't the suspension still have the same range of motion/ travel?
Wouldn't a stock length shock work? Maybe I'm missing something.

Well the Aerostar springs are like 3" or more shorter than the stock one and because of that the shocks are fully compressed. So I assume that the shock itself needs to be shorter along with the compression.

Found one!! Gabriel #81406 which is 10.4" in length vs the stock 13.5". The bottom post is a little larger but I'll just drill the mouning hole a littler larger and be good to go.
