Old Antique Fre Truck, Ladder No_5.jpg Used to play on a '37 Lefrance, like this behind the Millbrook Al. fire Dept. when I was in grade school. They hauled it off in the early '90s for scrap.

Are there urban areas where burning yard waste is still allowed?

Damn!---That could have been me too!---My wife (then girlfriend) knitted baby booties too hang from the mirror in my old '41 Chev club coupe, back then it was the "thing" to do in 1949.---I also went to Korea 1951-1955.

Dad had a '41 Chevy convert before this coupe, he plowed into the back of a produce truck in front of his school and totaled it.
He was on the ship to Korea when the Armistice was signed.

    Great photo.
Growing up in Virginia, and still residing there, I rake my leaves every year to the street in front of my house and burn them. The autumn smell of burning leaves means winters coming. Sorry no vintage photos of the process to share.

Probably an English picture as the car is a Ford Consul Classic from the late 50s or early 60s.
