All right ladies and gents this is the video
That did it for me, that got me into hot
    rodding.
It shows pals in a garage building a hot rod together (bad news T)
This is what hot rodding all about!
I know there was a post about this 10 yrs ago but it didn't have a link
And it hasn't been on YouTube long so here it is.......

I love this video, I saw it some years back. Might even be a decade.

Love them guys, they are the coolest crew I've seen in a long time, just like the Ozzie crew from those new video's on here.

The was so great at getting the message true to "ordinary" people, so some of them might get it, some day, almost or just maybe.
    Down to earth people.
The one guy is named Vern, and I always thought he was 50% the famous duo Vern/Tardel. But I might be wrong, it just made good sense to me, feel free to correct, I know no one named Vern or Tardel and I got more the 3000 miles to Graceland, so I'm allowed to make mistakes like that.

Is there any chance that any of you know se guys? Is they on here by an even bigger chance?

  13. Close, but no cigar. The guy in the video is Verne Hammond. The dynamic duo guy is Vern Tardel, and recently "retired" from actively building hotrods...supposedly. He also published many books that should be required reading for anyone building a traditional hotrod.

I thought this was Vern (something) & Keith Tardel, the guy that runs a shop with his son.

But that might be there I went overboard in the whole story. sorry

I just re-saw it, and it's still damn cool!

Was there a couple cars with HAMB tags at the beginning? Damn nice cars.

I find it a little hard to believe that non of these guys is HAMBers. Not even famous HAMBers
They are not HRP or 3W, but they would be valueable for this place, and welcomed with one arms.

Vern Tardel should be considered the Father of the '29 A V8. He lives in Cal. somewhere north of San Francisco, I think. Today he builds roadsters like he did when he was 16, old style 40ish, maybe 50ish. His son, Keith, works his magic at Austin Speed Shop surrounded by other craftsmen like John Joyo, Kail, and Rocco. Keith is probably considered THE flathead man in Texas. His Dad taught him right.

Yes, in a little sad that Burbank, Invarcargill, Daytona, Colorado, Dearborn, Detroit and Anderson is so far away. Thank god for the WWW and thank Ryan for The HAMB.

Edit; ANZAC? What is that? Another word for KIwi?
