"Let's see if it'll start" he says! What did it turn, 2 full crank rotations before it fired? Sounds awesome Carl. Just like a huffed flattie should sound.
I can't wait to get home and listen to it. My computer on the ship will not allow video. Thank goodness I will be home soon.
That's awesome carl hopefully in the next couple months I'll be hearing a flatcaddy fire up for the first time
Tom 70 get ups but whose counting ................... she sounds even better from the back he he............ now on to the fun stuff....... getting er running right............ this may piss off the neighbors though......I guess I will have to take some video from the side or back while I'm doing all this shit...................
Sounds great Carl Some tuning and set the camera behind the engine Oh, isn't the upper pulley too big? /K
Kjell one step at a time............ 10% under to start then switch pulleys for 10% over walk before ya run ps love the shirt!!!
After changing jets and rods in the carb ..................... getting to like this shit........... ]
Man you have some talent. Not only do you make your own parts you cast them too and they WORK GREAT. Simply awesome.
Sounded better this time, I think I was hearing an intake leak ,Whistle noise, not blower whine, Tim Jones
The audio really doesn't do it justice Tim. So far no leaks but looks like I defiantly will have to do some drilling of the jets.... he he more fuel needed!! but will have to do that at the strip when she is under load............ don't know about time but am shooting for somewhere in 120's-130's at mid to low 11's high 10's can't go faster then 10.0......... Thanks for all the comments....... just an ol German- Portagee who likes to do things hisself thanks to his ol man......
Good to hear Carl, I watched it again with the speakers up, Sounded like good ole blower whine this time, It;s hell to get old and deaf
Carl! I am out in the desert, 100 miles SE of Las Vegas and I swear I heard that thing start. Great job. Looking forward to strapping You, RY, or Eric in that beast and sending you down the line. Jack
Da finishing touches part one......... Tried my hand at sewing.................and I hate to sew!!! used bungy cord for inside hold down held together with crimp on wire connectors
Hey Carl . . . you ready to do the interior on my Cabriolet? Come on now, you're needing more projects!
Carl, Did you see NMCarNut's dyno figures for carbureted 284 versus blown with 5 psi boost? He picked up 75 hp at 5000! It is in a thread about a prospective chassis dyno run for a different owner. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...eir-flathead-powered-hotrod-on-a-dyno.966295/
Will let ya all know what she does after a few runs............ know approx. figs on the carbed version, I will extrapolate em blown............... on the best chassis dyno the track........
