Anyone know if there's a company that makes bumpers for '49-'50 Mercury? I've seen some on customs that are not as small looking as the stock ones and I'm wondering if people take them off other cars or someone makes them for these years?
I know,I know, everyone will go nuts when I mention bumper boys, but for a driver there is nothing wrong with them. I have a set on my 49 for over 5 years now and the still look good enough for me.
that is a desoto bumper 51 to 53 , So I have cut 2 51 merc bumpers to pick the front bumper and for the back I cut down a 55 lincoln for my son's 51 merc as for my daughters 49 merc I just used stock but for my friends 50 merc we used a 53 desoto bumper and it looks great
I like the Desoto bumpers. That is the one I have been seeing on customs but didn't know where they came from. I like that they have more height to them. Thanks for the input!
I didn't know that about the slot being a '51 only thing. I guess now I know mine are from a '52. Good post.
