Any idea where it was from, raced? I only ask because there was a straight axle gold 55 chevy raced here back in the 60's, named goldrush. That specific car im talking about i personally saw in a friends personal 55-57 junk yard here in upstate NY. Still had the straight axle and remains of the glass front end and also radiused quarters but was in very bad shape. It was purchased from him a few years back and from what i remember was boing built into a circle track car i believe.... A bit sketchy on the last part though. May not be the same car at all, quite the coincidence though Tony
Wish I could help, the 1st pic is so nifty. Kodachrome colors, proud owner, little brother(?) whose mind is being saturated with the whole thing, Impala at the ready to flat tow for a day at the track. Looks like the perfect life. Hope he came back from 'Nam.
