Bro, excellent job...You've got a great eye and a great set of hands. Congrats. Really makes me want to go finish my ride right now....or I could just read some more threads....I'm on the fence as of now.
took the Coe to some meetings and shows last weeks and had a foto shoot last thursday evening by a great photographer he took some awsome pic's i got one to show so far the rest will follow later on.
Just came across this thread and what I beautiful, well documented build! Now that you are putting some miles on it, any update on how the rear radiator set up is working and if you are getting any noise in the cab as air moves thru the tunnel? I am getting ready to start a 1938 ford COE car hauler build using a 1989 P30 motorhome chassis and many of your engineering ideas will be very useful along the way. I had planned to do the conventional front radiator but after seeing your approach I am open. Here is a 1947 I am wrapping up restoration with some improvements to make it the best driver possible and keep the original 1947 flavor. Thanks for sharing all of your ideas and challenges along the way and congrats on one of the very best car haulers I have ever seen! Billy
Hi Billy did put a few hundred miles on it without any trouble it cools perfect i even have and pcm controled electric fan as backup, but did not came in action yet.
spotted on the last event of the season in september with a buddy at the wheel and his project on the back (46 chevy) here one of an earlier event on a road tour hauling my 59 olds chassis and on the front cover of the dutch usa car cruise magazine
Great build. Wasn't a fan of the later grills at first, always been a fan of the round ones. Yours changed my mind. I'd like to get another Coe some day and make the low/short bed style. For now I must focus on my current project. Your build is inspirational. Thanks!
That's fitting the COE and your Plymouth are the best 2 builds on the HAMB. in my humble opinion any way.
Hey Sander, now that you have had a chance to put some miles on the truck, I have some questions. Does the engine run cool with the radiator behind the cab? Do you get much noise/drumming from your air duct to the radiator? Anything you would change? or do a little different? Thanks for the incredibly well detailed build
That is a beautiful COE. I will use a few of your ideas for my 47, I am working on a motor mounted under the back of my cab for a flat front floor.
