  1. You screwed up dude.....should have stopped and got groceries then you could have got snowed in at the shop and played with it all night and had it running and cleaned the whitewalls and and and............ If its an F-1 box it will be drag link steering. Wasn't the 36 a cross steer? Tim

Great score ! You prove the old adage of "You snooze, you lose", only you didn't snooze and you certainly didn't lose. Congratulations.

Very nice find / project . If you came past on I-87 , I would have jumped in and helped and cried.

So far so good! A little indoor car wash as wipe down. I can't wait to see it polished.

A '36 Ford rumble seat coupe, what a fantastic find. It looks to be in great condition too.

  16. Great find and super nice car! Having all the later model engine/trans, and upgrades is just icing on the cake! I am quite envious, 36 coupes are one of my favorites.

Sent my nephew into the rumble seat area to clean it out (he fits much easier than I do)

My niece and nephew enjoying the fixed rumble seat

Ordered a bunch of parts to change the look up a bit and make the outside match the hot rod insides.

I took the spare mount off and I will make a bracket to relocate the license plate over the mount holes

Buffed the lacquer and it is looking much better. Pulled the front end to install a drop axle.[IMG]

    rear end is next!

  21. I'd be in the shop for a week, digging into this thing, I wouldn't want anyone around, I'd be in my own, little world. Great find, keep us in the loop.

  23. Holy cow that's a good find. What a beaut car.

I reckon it looks perfect right now... until you do something else to it which will make it even more perfect. The stance looks great, so I don't think it needs any lowering in the rear.

But then again, they do quite suit the taildragger look.o_O

Great find. It is nice to see the sensitive preservation of this fine old runner. The 36 is such a wonderful design. It is going to give a lot of folks a smile once the mountains of snow melt. Thanks. TEB
