Technical Squeak Bell's 1928 roadster any info on it?

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Dave29, Jan 17, 2015.

  1. I saw images of Squeak Bell's 1928 roadster at the 2014 Hot Rod Hill climb and fell in love with it. That is one bitch'n hot rod. Does anyone know of any in-depth articles describing his roadster? I see that "Driven Imagery" has several pictures of it but I want to see the whole enchilada. I'd like to "borrow" a few ideas and maybe use them to update my crude gow job into a more refined and finished WHOA! job as he has so masterfully done.

If your talking about his olds powered roadster , that is an old hotrod he has owned for at least twenty years,he got it when nobody thought old hotrods or barn finds were cool ... Especially channeled primered cars with doors welded shut , I'm sure he probably went through it and tidied up stuff but I think for the most part it is as found...

  3. That's the one! I saw a clip of it pulling away from the starting line and another one rounding a curve at the Hill climb. Man it looked and sounded great. What a rush!

  4. I'm sure I read here some years back, that he knows the history of it, but can't remember the details.
Did you try a search on it?
It is indeed a cool car, even cooler is that it gets used.
