This is great news! Have all ten of Morts previous efforts so I can't wait to see what eleven brings. Looking at the list of all involved it can only be good things.
You want magazines, I got magazine, I took old issues to So-Cal sold them for $1.00 each When So-cal realized there was no market at $2.oo each. I could not sell anymore to them.. SO-MUCH for demand of old magazines, each one in a plastic sleeve and read maybe twice in 63 years.. :<(
Tim Sutton (@notrod13), Marcy Molkenthen (@Marcy), John Gunsaulis (@jadeidol), & Justin Baas (@Justin B) - Thanks for bringing "HOP UP MAGAZINE" back (in 19 days) !!!
Can't wait, I've got a bit of a magazine addiction and currently not enough quality rags to fill it! See ya at GNRS!
I hope they can make it now,my dad got a subscription when it came back years ago and only got a couple issues and then nothing and interested in it since I am no longer getting any car magazines right now.
Ryan, interesting analogy, I hope the outcome is better than the prognosis for an addict. I must say having a magazine that gets it, would be great and supported by me. I however am 67 years old. Bringing my old ass together with the interests of younger generations will be tough. Or will it? We all seem to live quite well here on the HAMB. The HAMB may be the successful blueprint needed. Best of Luck!
Tim, Marcy, John & Justin: Best of luck with your new venture. Hop Up will certainly benefit from some fresh enthusiasm. Passion and hard work are usually a good foundation for success. I look forward to seeing and supporting you at the GNRS. TEB
This is wonderful news! That's one of a select few publications still worth reading. Best of luck on the new endeavor. Certainly the right people to take this on.
wishing all of you the greatest success. Of course having Marcy involved is a great thing. She has absolutely nothing else going on in her life, so she is going to be working 24/7 on Hop-up. Will you ever come back to WI Marcy?
From a Hop Up junkie I am looking forward to the new issues. Until I get the return issue I will go back over some of the old issues.
Make some stitched jackets & simple red and white T shirts...at a reasonable price and you'll get the word out quick...keep these very nostalgic.
Very cool news! I look forward to being able to pick up a fresh copy soon. We've all been missing them for sure!
