I agree. The liquidation of these long time collectors who kept this stuff and actually stored it nice certainly helps fill the need, and a big thanks to them for doing so, but the rumor there's about to be a big glut of the stuff hitting the market has been around since the 90's. According to the prophecy, we're supposed to be knee deep in dirt cheap restored Model T's and A's that nobody wants anymore!

There are more of these hoards out there than we think. I know of 2 or three in Kansas, a few in Colorado, a couple in Minnesota... The facts are the 65+ folks are getting older, and they're the ones (for the most part) that hold 75% of the stuff... That's a lot of turnover in the next 15 years... Plus, the kids these days (unlike even just 10 years ago) aren't interested in '30's and 40's stuff... most of them want muscle car stuff or newer.

 

Another ig watcher, pictures here don't do it justice.... i'm just about as far west as one could go... probably won't make the auction, but one can dream...

Well it was 8° here in center of CT at 9pm and was supposed to go to go lower..Today its 34° and raining...Gees, am I never going to get to move snow? Works for me..Did way too many leaves past fall..And to comment on a few peoples golden age theory; I think you have to have gold to be golden/part of the age ..IMO/cma

RIP Bob, Your dad was a great guy and a good friend to me over the last 20 years. I walked many a mile in swap meets all over central Florida with Bob. We spent a lot of time swapping stories and we were always trying to outdo each other identifying obscure parts and facts about hot rods and early speed parts. He will be missed.
