Water pump needs to move when motor is near normal temps. Brief is fine.

I was actually lookin at blue lower with a white roof but it doesnt look as good imho on a 62. The 64's do look great with that type of scheme though, i actually have a 64 thats deep blue with a real light silver roof as my phone background right now lol.

It gave it almost a silverish hue, i just preferred the plain white after seeing both in person

Up for sale before the paint even dries good:D

I cant say anything Ive been guilty of the same thing, seems like after shes done, the rides over,
I cant say Im crazy about the blue roof but some nice white body color scallops in it and some nice blue top color scallops on the body or some watson style faded in panels or something would look good, maybe..............it still needs something in my opinion but thats just my .02.

I woulda have loved to do a flaked panel style paint job on the roof but it just wasnt in the cards this time around. My buddy russ sprayed it for $250 so it came out great considering the cost to spray it. I do plan on pinstriping it to give it a little extra pop and break up the white a bit. I think all the trim and everything will break it up even more once its back on. I like it a lot :D

I agree about the trim, and a little striping goes a long way. I dig it....

Quick questions guys, wiring under my dash is super cramped to get to around the ignition and my key on power source at the fuse panel isnt working. Im thinking i may run a simple on off toggle for my compressors to kill the power when its parked, Will i need any type of fuse or anything for this??

Drilled a small hole and utilized the rear facing plug on the accuair remote to mount it out of the way cleanly on the side of the dash

I love those big early 60's Chev Belairs. 4 doors are cool, love the new paint and low stance.
Looks very similar to a '63 down the street from me.

Car has been sitting for a while now, got a new daily driver. Should be able to get this one all finished up this summer. Gotta get the interior back in and do the finishing details. Work has been crazy and weather has been cold. I do have a few teasers of some of the trim i cleaned up and put on, paint still needs a cut/buff ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1425889791.993090.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1425889810.019196.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1425889819.770613.jpg

This is a cool Chevy. I love the big early 60s models, and this one's been done right.
I'd be proud to cruise in it!

Went to fire the car up and the carb isnt getting any fuel, pulled the line pre fuel pump and nothing there so im assuming the pump went out on it. Idk if its a coincidence but the fuel pump on my sbc died after sitting for a while. Either way any other ideas before i order one ? Gas was pre treated with sta-bil and ran through the entire system before parked. Car always fires up like a top

Crank it over w/a catch can beneath the fuel line to see if the fuel is moving. If it does, trickle some fuel down the carb and crank over engine.

I pulled the line off at the fuel pump and there was no fuel at all there, bone dry, cranked it for quite a bit too

Ok. Put line back in place trickle the gas into carb an see if it can fire/run a couple of times. If this does not 'bring back' pressure the pump could very well have gone bad. Todays parts quality are very poor.

Trickle about the bottom of a spray paint can lid. It needs a shot. It should stumble/fire. Will take a couple of try's.

Alright ill give it a shot. Just curious but how would throwin some fuel down the carb make the fuel pump work ? Is it just the vacuum created off the motor tryin to fire , which would help the pump pull fuel or ?
