Hot Rods name this frame

    need to know what this frame is. it has a built in spreader bar. a cable canister for the shocks. 3 running board brackets

    Chevy. Maybe '29 'ish.
     
  3. looks similar to a 36ish dodge coupe chassis I got with the same 36ish dodge coupe body, could be wrong but ya never know :) my chassis had the parallel leafs like that one seems to

    Looks big enough to be Packard or in the Packard class. Is that shock made by Watson? Bob

    I have a '29 Chevy chassis, it only has two running board brackets per side.

    there ia no name on the shock. it is about 7" in dia and has a 5/16 cable coming out of it

    I'd think maybe a large coach, the rear tin-valence and long (3) bracket distance.
    Often truck frames had a deeper section to them.

    Were is the rest of the car? Seams odd that a frame that nice is in a nice garage like that all alone. Bob

    i put it in my storage shed to keep it out of the weather. the frame is nice with no pits. a guy was hauling it to the scrap yard so i bought it.. just do not know what is is. i thought it might go under my 29 chevy delivery but it will not fit. and 2 nice to cut up

    It might fit under a 29 body, and give you room for a buick straight eight :cool: :D

    There is a 1941 Chevy 3/4 ton truck chassis I plan to save from a scrap yard too. The three running board brackets per side are rare and should help ID yours. Bob
