Where did it come from? It looks familiar, but I'm not sure where I've seen it...

  3. No response at all, these are the first ones , I bought this rod in the South of France last week and the only info I had is that it came to Europe two years ago through the port of Antwerp Belgium on its way to the South of France .
I would like to come in contact with previous owner (s) or Builder. Perfectly build rod and I love it.
just like to get some more background info on this one

  4. Not my cup of tea. But great use of a 49' Pontiac dash!

I can only offer a little information on this car. I saw this car in person in 2013. It was at a car show called Vintage Torque Fest in Dubuque, Iowa in the United States. It had Iowa license plates on it and the build looked super fresh/recent when I saw the car. I attend a lot of the car shows in this region of the county and this was the first (and last) time I ever saw this car.

    A clue you could follow:
A few months later a magaizine, I dont remember which (maybe Car Kulture Deluxe or Old Skool Rodz) did a feature article on this car. I will look through my hot rod magazines tonight and see if I have it. If so, I can send it to you.

Also, not long after Torque Fest 2013, I saw this car for sale on Ebay! It must have sold to someone over seas. I will post 3 of the photos I took of your car at Vintage Torque Fest.
I have more photos of this car. I can post them if you'd like.
    I took these photos May 4th, 2013
By the way.....it's a sweet ride!!

I am with the Torque Fest show. This coupe was built by Brandon Jordan in Iowa. Send me your email address in a private conversation and I will pass it on to him.

This car was build by Brandon Jordan out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa a couple years ago. He's on the HAMB but I'm not sure how often he gets on so I'll post some pics of the build from his page if he doesn't mind.

Gorgeous car but man, my old back hurts just looking at the picture of him sitting in it. :)

  13. Absolutely great to get the background info thank you H.A.M.B.ers.
I traded the Model A last week against my 1946 Hudson pick-up truck :

A sweet ride and had lots of fun and miles with it, fitted with a 440 Mopar and A833 4 speed you could surprise a lot of modern cars with it. But after a few years fighting with the 440 we decided to go the Chevy way with the car and installed a LS3 376/480 and a tremec 5 speed. After driving it I found out that I just build a perfect suicide machine for myself, I raced a few Audi's on the Highway and my GPS was telling me that I reached 165 Miles /Hour doing it with some 1500 rpm left under my right foot. There and then i decided to get rid of the truck before it got rid of me. Not the trucks fault but I know my reaction to a challenge on the Highway.( 12 year old brain ) Looking on the internet I found the model A in the south of France and was in love with car on first sight.
Worked out the deal with the owner and drove out with my buddy Marcel on a roadtrip of 1600 miles to the south of France in 1 1/2 day to deliver the Hudson and take the Model A home.
A roadtrip with mixed feelings, exited because finally after 25 years my dream of having a Model A in my garage come true and at the same time sad because having to leave the Hudson behind to make the deal work.

Now we have our next challenge and that is to get the Model A registered overhere in the Netherlands, the laws for cars which are altered can be tuff overhere !! I know that just looking at the car you can see the craftmanship and quality that went in to the car, but I like to show to the tech inspectors a picture book of the build - history and this will smoothen things out regarding getting the nessesary paperwork to get the car legally on the road overhere.

Thanks in advance for all your help
