Nice! I love that color so much

 

Toreador red. It's a gm interior color. I like it because it has no metallic in it. Single stage industrial paint. Lays out like an old lacquer would.

Yes, thats what I love about it.

I plan on painting my 46 with a similar paint, maybe a different color but I love the look of the non metallic single stages.

 

Another plus is if you put on enough material you can cut and polish it like glass. It is very forgiving.

So are you redoing the roof because some past body work was not holding up?

I'd like to see this car in person at some point, I had considered painting my car red before I pulled the trigger.

 

Yes the top was in bare metal for years before I got the car. We sanded and etch primed the car but the rust was deeper then we anticipated. I resanded the top and sent it to garnet blast to cure the top from bubbling. There are a few areas left to fix on the door and hood and I hope to have them completed by the grand nationals.

Perdy excited! The guys from The Lot magazine are gonna shoot the 52 this weekend. Great guys and a great traditional small book.
