    Also, I took the visors off. Looks a little better, too. Cleaner lines.

    I had the same problem when I bought a Jag XK120 back in the '60s (they were cheap then)... I'm 6'2" and had to replace the stock seat bottom with something much thinner.
    It was well worth it !!
     
  3. Remove the bottom seat frame. Pull out all the springs and padding. Then replace that with a few yards of lawn chair webbing in a criss / cross pattern, then top it off with about 2 inches of upholstery foam then reinstall your original cover over it.
    You might even consider constructing a new (SHALLOWER) seat base out of wood if the original is too tall.
    I remember plenty of tall guys riding shotgun with me in my '58 back when and everyone fit fine.
    Of course my seats had over 100,000 miles and were compressed a minor amount.
