Here it is with black wheels. I still like the red. The car has red stripes also. The tan paint on the car has a red hue to it so you need to see it. I did run hood tops with leather straps but do not like the tops on the car. Anyway if you go fast enough the rain won't bother you too much
Leave as is..no hood. If you are really looking to change something, paint the wheels a different color.
4 banger= hood, kick ass flathead; hoodless all the way. Do the wheels have any red pen stripes? That might be a nice touch, to match the belt line stripes. Beautiful car.
Hmmmm....you said you wanted to change the look. Adding the hood changes the look. Adding the sides, changes the look. No hood or sides doesn't change the look. Not rocket science folks No change needed, I would leave it "no hood" and keep showing off that sweeeet flatty.
OK, my suggestion....I live maybe twenty five miles from you; thirty five if you take a scenic route...Bring the car over with all the pieces...You can sit in a lounge chair on the front patio sipping a beverage of choice while I drive your car up and down the street in front of you with varing pieces on and off, we can even change the wheel color as I have some wash off paint...Best way to get a visual...Plus it will piss the neighbor off and he'll have to try impress us with his Bently, good for a laugh..Good [re:Best] suggestion, eh?
It will stay as is! Thanks for all the comments. Here is a Photoshop in black. Again you need to see this color (the tan) in person. It looks so good and is different. It will stay as is. Black is just another black roadster. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Thanks Again!
As I stated earlier, the tan is awesome. Everyone please save maroon for me. I've been dreaming of vintage maroon for years and cry every time I see it on somebody else's rod. "Listen Mr... It ain't broke if I can't fix it"
Here is a vintage maroon build I did in the 70's Looks a little red in this photo but it was a Ford color called "royal maroon" no metallic!
Well, at least you have the option to go several different ways. Not many other cars have the flexibility of removing sheetmetal and still looking cool. That's what I love about 32-34 cars, they are an open canvas. Going on a long road trip, maybe cover the jewelry up. Otherwise, show it off.
