Had a couple hours this afternoon, got a few more things hung on the motor. Now I just need to put the radiator in, some quick wiring and maybe just a once over on the carb, should have it running by the end of the week!

Thanks Guys! I'm doing what I can to get this think going as fast as I can! Now that the fire and flood danger are becoming less, I'm actually able to get to it! But its hard to find the time between 5-kids and running my own business! So lots of late nights and coffee in the mornings!

Sorry guys! It's been awhile since the last update ! But, been super busy with work, and had to take time to take out my bride for our 15th year anniversary! Anyways, had some time today to work on the 36! Found out that 35 radiators don't work for 36's!!!! But you all probably already knew that ! 35-36's are new for me! I did get it to fit in there with a little tweaking, but the hood won't fit over it! It will work for the flathead run , but no hood!! I guess I better order one from the brassworks! Well unless somebody has a rebuilt 36 rad for sale! Getting closer! Should have it running in the next couple of days! What a wonderful project you have. It is enjoyable to watch and read as your 5 Window comes to life. Now take that car and drive it across the country and see the sights after 78 years it has earned it.

  13. That coupe has been waiting in that garage, for YOU to find her. So glad some gold chained street rodder, did not get their grubby little hands on this time capsule. These cars bring back fond memories. As an 11yr old kid. my 21yr old neighbor had one of these, flat black with a stolen Corvette 327/4spd.
For a car that was literally at the bottom of the price field, Ford nailed the styling and body lines!! So much style for the common man to own. Ironically, nowadays, you could buy 2 or 3 more expensive brands, for what these are worth. Subscribed.

    Thank Guys!
I was looking on line last night at Brass Works. Looks like they make a nice radiator! Has anybody used them before? Just want to see if anybody things they are worth the coin! Although, I think the last re-core I had done on my 39 pick up was about the same price as their new ones, so maybe not such a bad deal?

  20. sometimes their is a waiting list for a Brass works radiator and i'm told they are $$ and well made! Usually anything used is borderline core at best so why not eliminate the cooling headache in the beginning! If it had a OHV V8 the radiator would be $200 not $800!

  21. Still a neat old gauge panel that fits nicely in the dash recess.....
With your scenario, time mgt. is key; most guys would not have the time or inclination to take on a project like this.
Hats off to you; stay the course!

  22. Looks great Chris, can't wait to see it next week!!!

I don't think I can have the radiator here by the 20th, so the 35 rad will have to do for now! That" old "gauge panel isn't that old! The oldest thing about it are the old gauges! It only took me about 30 minutes to whip it out! The pic makes it look a lot better than it really is!

Also, check out this locking gas cap I've been saving for just the right car. It's a little weird being made of bake a lite type plastic! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1410270877.714322.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1410270886.950438.jpg
