This photo was taken in the mid 90's in the Buffalo New York area. The photographer is trying to locate the owner of this Willys, anybody have a clue of who owned it? Thanks in advance.

    Intruder 440

Hey there, I was just searching around the internet and I came upon this picture that you took. That was my Grandfather's car also called the Intruder driven by Joe Morris and Wilfred "Moose" Rusca. Moose was my grandfather and he's standing behind the car in the picture. I was wondering if you have any more pictures of the car or anything at all regarding it. I only have one framed picture of the car. My dad knows the history of the car as well. Attached is the only picture I have. Thanks

Hey Tom, I replied to one of your posts already and I am just looking around for others and I came across this post. This was my grandpa's car. I am just going to reply with a photo of it here as well. Hope to hear back sometime. Thanks.

    Intruder 440

Hello- this picture of the intruder Willys out of Stockton appears to be my grandfathers car. I was just looking around the internet and found a few photos on this website so I joined and posted the only picture I have of the car as my profile image. Would you happen to have any info or more pictures of it? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

You can find drag racing footage of the Intruder Willys racing the Airoso Brothers willys on a Dvd called the Jackson brothers videos gasser files 1 and 2. I bought the video online. Joe Airoso told me that he knew your grandfather but I don't know how well.

I have seen pictures a candy tangerine willys coupe that has 440 lettered on the side but it doesn't say intruder on it. Could this be an earlier or later version of the intruder?

    Intruder 440

Hello- I believe the picture you took was my grandfather's car as seen in my profile pic. I know it said 440 A/G on the side at one point and the "intruder" at another point in its life. That picture you took is so cool. While looking for 41 Willys cars I came across a picture that I had never seen before of the car. I attached both pictures of the car that I have. The color picture was found on this message board. They are the same car just different paint jobs.
That looks like the car alright. That's incredible. It looks like it was before the 440 was painted on the side. I actually do not know for sure, but I believe that the Intruder came after the paint job with 440 A/G on the side. I know that the hood scoops are different when the car was painted, so I will hope to find someone with a picture when is has the intruder written on the side and the date they took it. I know the car was featured in a Hot Rod magazine in 1964 and I know that my dad has a copy of the issue. Unfortunately as I was told, the car underwent another paint job and as it was drying a heater caught on fire and melted the car so to speak. I don't think it was ever rebuilt. I hope to someday build a replica though. Thanks for posting that picture!

Thanks for taking that picture back in the day. I really like the looks of that car and the color of the paint job is one that you seldom see. It looks great. I think that I got this magazine article from the hamb too.

Bogan still has one of his Willys he's fixing it to drive on the street. He comes to our Gassers races every once in a while. When he and Gene Cromer get together they tell some good war stories.

Just thought you Willys guys might want to know that my 1933-1936 Willys thread got deleted. All I got was a message from one of the admins that it had been deleted. I have no clue why. I have asked why, but no response yet in 24hrs. There were tons of photos, information and history in that thread, and now it's seemingly just arbitrarily deleted. I'm pretty disgusted to say the least. If there's info in this thread you want, you better act fast. It could vanish.

Yeah, I just checked my subscribed threads and I don't see it anymore. It is probably a hiccup of some sort I bet. It is probably archived or something and they might be able to retrieve it. Give them some more time, I am sure they will respond. Might all be on the road back from Bonnie or something...

  27. Really liked that thread as I do this one as I have Willys that fit both. I don't remember any drama on there, hope it comes back. JW
