I want to run some 560 x 15 tires and the recommended size wheel is 4 -4.5" Does anyone know what vehicles, if any came with that size - preferably in 5on5.5 stud pattern? Thanks
I've never heard of any. By the time Ford went to 15", the wheels were all at least 5" wide. Lots of F-100 wheels that are 5" wide out there to choose from. I don't think a 5.60 x 15 tire would look bad on a 5" wheel.
The are 5.60x15 on typical 5x15" wheels. Everyone I know that has these tires uses the same wheels and seems to be no issues. Tim
Take a narrow pair of 15" rims cut the center out and replace with 15" F100 wheel centers... Weld em up and then you'll have a pair of 15x4s!
Evidently guys used to take VW rims and do this. They may have used Ford 16" centers though, not sure.
Ed: I may have been mistaken....my wheels very well might be 4 1/2" wide. I have a 5"x15" on the shelf but they are few and far between the way I understand it. My wheels came off an early 60's Ford pickup. They are fairly common (to me anyway), don't think it too hard to find them in the 4 1/2" width. The fours were all 16's I think. Someone will have a definitive answer for you.
