You a lucky guy! I always wanted a choped coupe. Love em. When I found my coupe I thought long and hard and said, "NO WAY" "Henry needs those extra 3"! And with the invention of seat belts you won't fall out the windows if you don't chop it! Pontiac coupes are Great looking rides. Congrats!
Well I made it around the block, got a lot of work to do before spring but it sure was fun just to go that far.
Good looking car! Glad you didn't chop it ,now get the rest of what your going to do and drive the shit out of it!
Wow did it get cold today almost zero out now, got the fuel cell holes drilled and kinda got a idea on how im gonna run the fuel line, with the cam I have im going to need a stall converter might run 2 chamber mufflers.
Cold and snowing today supposed to hit 18 below in the next couple days yay!!!! Got some work done today between shoveling the walks. Damn come on spring!
Got the new exhaust on yesterday it sounds nice went with jegs 2 chamber mufflers, started laying out the sheet metal for the floor hope to have that done soon. Then onto wiring the lights.
Took the car up to work today and aligned the front end the old girl drives great, had to pull the front rotors and machine them. What a thrill getting to drive for the first 5 miles, tomorrow may take it to iowa city 35 mile trip gotta start getting some miles on it before spring time.
Not sure about mirror. Functional but a little big. Would love to see some black steelies with center caps. I like the color . And hard to beat that price.
Whoa! Looks good. How many miles have you put on it so far? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I do, Damn nice build. Is there something wrong with you time line? You get it home, burned and missing Wood. Two post later, complet rebuild Pontiac 327. Three posts after that, some guy claims you need baffles in you exhaust, because his old lady can't sleep, because of the noise. And 3 post you make after that, it's in paint and going to a show. :-0 chok! You spend 275 bucks on it. And what look like three weeks on it So you eighter made us all look bad, or you owe us done damn nice picture from all in between. LOL.
Well the first post was in 2012, I have been looking for some steel rims, I know someone on here sells them.
I aware of the time span, but you toke very few picture. What I was trying to say, is I would like to see some more pictures og your car, and preferably, them in between fire and now. I've found me a 1928 Chevy 2door sedan, and would like to get some advice on how to do the steel-replacing-wood move. It looks alot like a Chevy/Fischer body, so there might be something for me to learn from. You came a long way, and looks like you did a damn fine job!!
Well fast forward again, I stuck on a tunnel ram and some old MT valve covers. Also found some steel wheels, lost a little low end with the tunnel ram but the cool factor is great. Will try to post a pic
