here's mine, brookville body on a perimeter frame from Gary Maxwell at Blackboard Hot Rods that I put a '35 crossmember in. Running a '64 425 nailhead, motor is just sittin in there in these pictures. Sorry for the large photos
Man I LOVE 28-29 roadsters! I have a basket case '32 Ford 5 window body...anybody wanna trade for a 28-29 roadster body?? Im serious!!! Pete-
Here is pic of mine. Orig steel, used hardwood strips between body and frame, also frame pinched at firewall. These are my rain tires, bias off in this pic.
I was looking at the Wescott's frame measurements and it shows to pinch the rear of the rails at the wheel opening. I am not pinching the front, do I have to pinch the rear?
don't pinch the rear.keep the chassis all 32 spec's.You'll be glad you did. I would have bought that from John but lost all my extra $ at the horse track.
This is mine. Like yours, I built my body from a pile of pieces. I have parts from about 5 different cars on it. Most of the previously posted bodies are WAY nicer than mine. But, it is on the road and driving daily (during the summer months anyway). And, I have less than 1500 bucks into the whole body assembly. I do enjoy scrounging for parts. -Mitch
Anyone have any pic's of a car from the rear with a stock '32 rear crossmember? When did guys start using model A rear crossmembers.
Is there a build thread on you car? I'm planning a build right now and want to build mine very similar. What tire and wheel combo are you using? Thanks
Every time I think about the 28-29 roadsters on Deuce rails the late Bill Burnham's car comes to mind.. . I hear his grandson is the caretaker of "Old Blue". HRP
There's nothing I like better than to revive old threads - getting new eyes on these and getting more images that've popped up in the last six years is a trip. And, since this is a picture thread...
