Projects 54 chev grill in 51 chevy

    Hey guys

    any one have any info or pics of a 54 chev grill in a 51? Either whole grill or just bottom bar with teeth


    Trying to get ideas :)

    you might look into just adding '54 teeth to your grille bar. I think they are available in repro's. If you don't have an original, maybe buy one and try it. If it will work, buy as many as you need.

    '54 teeth on the '51 bar might be the way to go. I used '53 teeth on a '50 bar in my '49 Chevy (Avatar).
    I don't believe either teeth are any longer available in repro .

  4. you have any better pics of you avatar Mo? thats what I am in the process of doing the same thing.
    how many teeth did you use? looks like 9?

    I still need to dimple the splash pan at each tooth, to fine tune the alignment.

    Thanks Mo! Fleetline is moving along slowly, but I did manage get the passenger side door and quarter panel stripped and spayed with some DP primer yeserday. I'm planning to get it all sealed up and then come back and do the body work. and some kustom taillights. These pictures make it look alot better than it is.
