Many of the cars photographed here do not really conform to H.A.M.B. standards, but some do, and most of these cars are cool in their own way, so take a look and enjoy....TIM http://public.fotki.com/funman1712/11-scale-automotive/2014-goodguys-colum/
Thank you. I am sure it took you even longer to upload them than it took me to look at them! It's ages since I have been to GG Columbus, not all traditional by any means, but a lot of neat "other stuff" to look at. I do like looking at "other stuff" occasionally, I just what to own, and I do, a traditional Hot Rod. Cheers, Stewart
Holy Cow!,it took a while to sort through all the photos..thanks for taking the time to upload that many photos. I love seeing Cody's recently finish wagon. HRP
Man,Bobby sure gets around. HRP This is what his car looked like on the Deuce Run this year... And then on the way to LARS this happened... Repaired and back on the road!
Enjoyed the photos ,something for everyone no doubt. A big thanks for sharing your photos and your time. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App
The last time I was in Columbus was '87 for the NSRA Nationals,,I do Good Guys allowed more than one way in & out of the grounds,I saw cars literately melting due to inefficient traffic management. HRP
I took my son and grandson yesterday. My car is still getting side window glass installed but had a great time seeing all of the cars. Maybe I don't keep up with the market, but prices seemed pretty high this year. Still, the place was packed with an awesome array of all kinds of vehicles. What I didn't see this year compared to others were lots of 'Rat Rods' There were a few, but about 3 years ago there were bunches and bunches. Thanks for the pics. chuck
I was there for Friday and Saturday. Great show, saw quite a few High Dollar rods. Where does this money come from? Aren't we still coming out of the recession? I was parked on the grassy area next the Pros pick parking lot under a huge shade tree. Very nice to see the parade drive thru. The guy next to me in a 1974 Javalin got a tremendous amout of interest all day. Why, I can't tell you. Anyway, a film crew from Velocity interviewed him and took a lot of video on Sat. When it airs, I'll let you all now. Perhaps you'll see my car and me waving in the backround. Gary Meadors walked by and checked out my car. We talked for a few. Real nice guy and not stuck up.
I too remember the old NSRA setup at the Columbus Fairgrounds including the '87 event....it is MUCH better these days. For one thing, the entire area and spectator parking area has been expanded to the North which offers a much more exit and entrance setup for both participants and civilians. And there were plenty of Goodguys event personnel directing traffic to make sure things stayed under control before it got too congested...TIM
Thanks for the pictures, I was there Thursday till Sunday. If you could not find a car that you liked at this show you need a new hobby. Great turn out of high quality rides. Not every day you see the riddler winner driving the autocross.
