I have a 1955 ford Fairlane I'm currently building it has the Y-block (292cu I think) with the automatic transmission. I have a 5.0 motor with a T -5 manual 5speed tranny I'm going to put in it. I know alot of people who have done the same thing motor wise but with the auto tranny I know what I'm going to do for the motor mounts I'm just trying to get some advice and pointers when it comes to the 5speed tranny part I don't know if I need to get the brackets for the clutch cable that come on the fox body mustangs or if someone has done this before and gone the same or a different route thank you

"Y" blocks are getting popular, you might look for an adapter or build one.
