Hinson - Don't know where you're located in MD, but Dan is right on the mark about TRJ's Revival at Pimlico Race Track. I'd also like to note that a month later Jalopyrama takes place at the Annapolis Guard Armory where you'll find plenty of traditional customs, hot rods, and race cars. See our website for pix of previous shows. This will be our 11th year.

twochops - congrats on the award of your amazing Buick - one of the car I unfortunately did not get a good picture of though I really wanted to and was by looking for one 3 or 4 times. De. Dave - sorry about that - my brain wanders sometimes. But I knew you would want more too. You're welcome hemi j but I don't think there were any there.

One of the reasons it takes me so long a lot of times is cuz I get hooked on one picture trying it a number of different ways and ending up liking a bunch of them. For instance - here is a sepia version and old retro color version of the picture of Ted Burleson's 1940 Mercury above.

    I don't recall any '55/'56 Mercs there...matter of fact, I don't recall any '52-'54 Mercs either...unless the pink one in post #45 is a Merc (but I think it's a Ford...)

Any of the versions of that would look good hanging in the lobby of the host hotel. Too bad that hotels don't do cool post cards anymore, it would be awesome for that to.

  7. Now if THAT was how ol' George would have done his second version he really could have called it 'fabulous', or 'modern'. Amazing car, and beautiful pic. What does the front look like??

Thanks Roger ( the pink one was a 54 Merc), Al , John B, mr 57 and Peanut 1959. Here is a front view of the 1950 Studebaker. I met the owner briefly but don't know much more about the car.

You're welcome Model TI and thanks for checking out these pictures. There are many more coming. This was an exceptional event put on and attended by many fine people with awesome and unique kustoms. Certainly not the type of gathering you see everyday or any day for that matter. Great finally meeting you too Frank (frankiec) - the pictures are in process. Thanks John B for providing the owners name of the 59 Chevy wagon. Thank you Butch!

  21. I wonder if that chopped 4 door Studebaker is the old Barris custom called the ''Grecian''?

Dan, I hope I am not derailing this thread. How do you get those colors. Are you using a polarized filter, shooting HDR and turning up the color post process. Every picture you have is spot on from the subject to the composition and everything in between.

  26. I never remember seeing that '54 Chevy…I don't have a single picture of it and it doesn't show up in the back ground of any of my pictures. It looks like it was parked right down from me. How on earth did I miss it? Beautiful car….and one of my favorite colors. ;)

DrDave, the '54 Chevy convert wasn't there very long...Kevin told me he just "wanted to be part of the show" for a while and had to leave after an hour or two...BUT I saw it...and I don't miss much...!!!

I remember the '54, but I sure don't remember the retractable that is in the background..
Beautiful pictures, I enjoy each one as you add them.
