I'm ready to fabricate the clutch linkage On my wing tank car build. Engine is a mid mounted V-8 60. Linkage will be cable operated, there is absolutely no room for a hydraulic set up.The pedal and parts will be hand fabricated.
I assume the clutch release shaft lever used on a V8-60 is similar to the larger Flatheads? I need to know the stock bell housing clutch lever length and the approximate leverage ratio of the stock floor pedals. Thanks

    Measured on a '39 pedal assy, 1 3/8"
    From a '36 throwout bearing lever, 3 3/8"
Measured with a tape measure while reaching in amongst some other parts by eyes that need a new Rx on glasses.

Essentially a 2.5 to 1 ratio, given the above figures. DD

I built a cable linkage from the measurements given here and the clutch feel is very good!
