Nice find! Ever thinking of going the non gasser style? I would love to see a willys dropped a bit with a hopped up 4 banger. C'mon, we can't make them all gassers! LOL.
Let's try to answer some questions. I have known about this car for about 10 years. A mate of mine has been trying to buy it for as long as I can remember and when the owner decided to sell it the timing was wrong for him. So I jumped in, we just couldn't let it go. saw an original at famosa this weekend... a driver with the 4 banger.... he was asking 85,000 with a patina'ed but straight car.....wowow

We have a friend in Denton Texas with an original Willys Coupe......he dropped a V-6 in it I believe with mods.......can afford to drive it......it doesn't break all the time......he said on the highway it really gets smooth around 75 mph. Im not pushing the V6.......but build it so you can enjoy driving it...is what it is all about !! Great find !!!

Looking forward to this build however you do it so long as it's not modern pro-street and the nose sits higher than the tail. Then opinions are like butt'holes -everyone's got one.
