Almost got the car back on the road. Hopefully this spring. Just happened to stumble upon this site, very sweet indeed. I'll have to feel my way around to checking out some local events if I can find any. Well, here's some pics...... I just ripped out the sixer last year and have been slowly doing the work to convert to V8. I'm putting in a mild 350 and cleaning up the engine bay. Already took the air ducts out and I just got my battery relocation kit from the UPS guy. Should be alright when I'm done. Nothing is smoothed out though, I kind of like keeping the character of the original sheetmetal, patina and all.
Shit! Not too far from me.Get that thing back on the road.If all goes well Ill have my 50 Merc on the streets by May.WELCOME !!
Hey,welcome to the HAMB. I live in central PA (Lewisburg) and run a '31 A. My buddy's got a '31 Chevy(nice guy anyway). Let us know if you're out this way-or maybe we'll see you at Hershey or York. Everyone knows Pennsylvania is really the center of rodding now-.
Thanks for the welcome, guys. Mazdaslam, hopefully I'll have my car done by then as well. I can't wait to drive it again, it's been over a year now.
I'm in Easton, right by Lafayette College, beautiful car, especially if I parked my '49 Ford F3 next to it, oh wait to do that I'd have to get it running first.... any volunteers?
